Marco Benevento is one half of the Benevento/Russo Duo. Marco is the keyboardist who jams with the drummer Joe.
Marco has branched out on his own with an album’s worth of “solo” material. The band who joins Marco on “Invisible Baby” is made up of Reed Mathis of Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey on bass, Matt Chamberlain who plays for Tori Amos and Andrew Barr of The Slip share the drumming duties.
Invisible Baby is an eight track masterpiece. It is an instrumental record without pretentiousness. The songs Marco wrote are catchy as hell and will have you singing along, even if there aren’t any words. The music falls somewhere between jazz, rock and experimental.
